Ragnarok Origin Classic is a game served by Gravity, and it launched on March 26, 2026 in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia (excluding Vietnam).
It supports unified Asia play so that users from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia can enjoy it together. A separate service launched in North, Central, and South America on July 23, 2026.
The marriage system arrived a month after launch, on April 24, with the Sakura Vows update.
What Kind of Game Is Ragnarok Origin Classic?
Ragnarok Origin Classic is an MMORPG built on the long-running Ragnarok series. True to its name, it aims for a classic feel of the old Ragnarok, and it is a game that tries to raise player satisfaction by reducing probability-based monetization elements.
Monetization is centered on a monthly pass. You can play it on a PC client and on mobile (Google Play, App Store).
Basically, you pick a job, grow through hunting and quests, and form parties and guilds to roam dungeons and fields. On July 9, 2026, a new region, the Glast Heim castle, and a new job, Gunslinger, arrived.

The Rainbow Promise event, which opened with the same update, had you cooperate with a friend whose affection was 20 or higher to clear trial quests for seven days, and completing it gave a Rainbow Token title, decorations, and gold coins.
Even before marriage, it is a structure where people connected by affection do things together.
You can only have one marriage partner at a time, and if you divorce, you can marry another user again.

Married couples raise their intimacy level to earn intimacy skills, intimacy attributes, and exclusive couple motions. They can also collect anniversary mileage rewards, and when they complete 365 days of marriage, they receive a permanent swan mount.
Rewards keep stacking up only when the two continue together even after the wedding. The 365-day mark is a token of recognition for people who stayed together for a long time.

Ragnarok has dealt with weddings for a long time. At the first-anniversary event for Ragnarok Online's commercial launch in Indonesia, a groom and bride who met through Ragnarok held an offline wedding.
The scene of experiencing the in-game wedding episode firsthand was broadcast live on a large screen, and many people blessed the couple. About 6,000 people reportedly took part in the event over three days.
This is a case from Ragnarok Online, not from Origin Classic. But it shows that meeting someone in a game and getting as far as a wedding did not start with this IP.
